Community Initiatives

Our initiatives ignite volunteerism, civic responsibility, and the belief that every person can shape a more inclusive Kuwait.

Our Initiatives

Our community initiatives are an incentive for us to work and give. We designed them as civil society development programs that contribute to improving the lives of people with disabilities within the vision of a new Kuwait 2035.

Each initiative intentionally involves persons with disabilities alongside non-disabled peers in the same work teams—from planning through implementation—to ensure every contribution and capability is valued.

We aim to prepare a generation that belongs to its country, is proud of its identity and moral values, believes in its capabilities, and actively develops the skills needed to live openly, accept others, and understand community priorities.

Flagship Initiatives

Dewan Samia

A cultural archive of generosity and inclusive leadership.

Dewan Samia gathers storytellers, historians, and families to document the acts of generosity that inspire Mama Kifayah’s movement. The Dewan protects community memory and honors the mentors who cleared a path for disability rights.

Public talks, oral history projects, and digital archives ensure that persons with disabilities lead the storytelling. By curating multigenerational encounters, the Dewan keeps advocacy grounded in lived experience.

Kelna Kids & Youth

Designing inclusive experiences for children and young leaders.

Kelna hosts adaptive camps, arts labs, sports clinics, and leadership trainings that are co-designed by children and youth with disabilities. Programs emphasize social-emotional learning, peer mentorship, and joyful participation.

Parents, educators, and volunteers partner with young people to map accessibility gaps and prototype practical solutions that can be applied in schools, neighborhoods, and cultural venues.

D Partners

Building cross-sector alliances for disability inclusion.

D Partners convenes private sector allies, philanthropists, and public institutions that are ready to invest in inclusive community development. Every collaboration begins with disability-led planning sessions to surface real needs and priorities.

Partnership roadmaps translate commitments into tangible projects—whether funding accessible spaces, supporting employment pathways, or scaling awareness campaigns across Kuwait.

TGI Members Club

Mentorship, skills-building, and belonging for adults with disabilities.

The TGI Members Club offers mentorship circles, vocational exploration, and life-skills labs curated by persons with disabilities. Members co-create curricula that reflect their ambitions across entrepreneurship, digital literacy, and independent living.

Weekly sessions nurture friendships, emotional wellbeing, and a strong support network that celebrates milestones while championing long-term goals.

D Voice

Advocacy, media production, and accessible storytelling.

D Voice amplifies disability advocacy through podcasts, video series, and media training led by self-advocates. Content spotlights policy wins, creative projects, and the daily innovations pioneered by persons with disabilities.

Every production follows accessibility guidelines—prioritising plain language, captioning, sign language interpretation, and multiple formats so that the message reaches the whole community.

Partnerships & Collective Impact

We remain committed to building cooperative partnerships with individuals, government entities, and civil society organisations. Together we design innovative responses to issues related to persons with disabilities and accelerate inclusive development across Kuwait.

Each initiative serves as an entry point for volunteers, allies, and experts to contribute their insight. When we pool resources, knowledge, and empathy, we unlock sustainable solutions that honour the leadership of persons with disabilities.
