Dewan Samia
A weekly intellectual and cultural forum launched in July 2011 to spark inclusive conversations about disability in Kuwait.
About Dewan Samia
Dewan Samia gathers every Wednesday evening as a welcoming forum for intellectual, scientific, cultural, and social issues related to persons with disabilities. Families, specialists, and advocates join to exchange knowledge, explore lived experiences, and build understanding around inclusion.
The conversations are deliberately free from politics, extremism, and negative energy. Each gathering is anchored in advocacy—educating society about the rights of persons with disabilities and nurturing awareness about the importance of social inclusion across every aspect of life without discrimination.
Honoring Samia Muhammad Al-Dhabeeb
The Dewan carries the name “Samia” in loving memory of the late Samia Muhammad Al-Dhabeeb, whose compassion for persons with disabilities shaped countless lives.
Her generosity and kindness continue through this Dewan, keeping her legacy alive among the young people and families she cherished and supported with unwavering warmth.
